24th Australasian Fluid Mechanics Conference (AFMC 2024)

AFMC2024 will be held at Hotel Realm, 18 National Circuit, Barton ACT 2600, Australia (Google Maps link). This is one of Canberra’s finest hotels, located in the heart of Canberra near Parliament House, the National Press Club, Lake Burley Griffin, museums, art galleries and other attractions. It is a short walk to the many cosmopolitan shopping, eating and entertainment options of Manuka and Kingston, and a short bus ride (or longer walk) to the shopping malls in Civic on the north side of Lake Burley Griffin.

The conference will start in the National Ballroom of Hotel Realm, with parallel sessions to be held in the subdivided Ballroom and also in the two High Courtyard rooms. Registrations will be conducted at one or two desks on the mezzanine level, outside the Ballroom.

The banquet for AFMC2024 will be held on the evening of Tues 3 Dec 2024, in Gandel Hall at the National Gallery of Australia. Places are limited, so we have had to make some decisions on attendance, with a priority towards those who registered early and for students.

Three laboratory tours will be conducted on the afternoon of Wed 4 Dec 2024, to UNSW Canberra, ANU / NCI and CSIRO. More details will be posted on a separate page shortly.

The BBQ for AFMC2024 will be held on the evening of Wed 4 Dec 2024, at Telopea Park, Barton, ACT. All AFMC2024 attendees and families are welcome to join us.
