24th Australasian Fluid Mechanics Conference (AFMC 2024)

Registrations for AFMC2024 are still open for attendees! We offer the following options (all require in-person attendance):

• Standard registration, early-bird rate $1050 (now closed)
• Student registration, early-bird rate $750 (now closed)
• Standard registration, full rate $1200
• Student registration, full rate $950

All prices include Australian GST. The above prices include two year membership of AFMS and the cost of the conference dinner and BBQ. However, places at the conference dinner are limited, so we advise early registration!

As noted in our emails, all presenters can only present one oral presentation (there are no limits to the number of poster presentations). All presenters must be registered in order to present their work, and for their paper to be included in our proceedings.

The early-bird registrations have now closed (23:55 7 October 2024, Canberra time). All student registrations will need to show proof of student status to the registration desk at the conference.

A Day Registration option is also available in Easychair for attendees (not presenters), at $600 per day. This does not include any social functions.

Several other registration options have been created for Keynote speakers, Emerging Leader speakers, corporate sponsors, student award winners and some other categories. If you are in one of these categories, we will send you an access code to create this registration.

If you are an AFMS Life Member, please contact us on afmc2024exec@gmail.com. We will arrange an access code for a discounted price, allowing for the cost of membership.

On behalf of the AFMC2024, we are pleased to announce our T-shirt and hat designs!

These designs are based on the winning entry in the AFMC2022 photo competition, "Time evolution of a circular release gravity current" by Dr Wai Kit Lam (mentored by Prof. Andrew Ooi, Dr Leon Chan, Dr Duncan Sutherland, Prof. Richard Manasseh and Prof. Khalid Moinuddin).
